I am an undergraduate student journalist at the University of Georgia. Born and raised in northern Kentucky, along the outskirts of Cincinnati, OH, I migrated south to pursue my career in storytelling at one of the nation's premier journalism schools.
I strive to produce high-quality multimedia content across platforms. From writing enterprise stories at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris for The Associated Press, to editing documentary films during my internship with a media company in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, I have a wide range of skillsets that I have successfully applied in international contexts.
As a reporter in Georgia, I've focused my energy on contributing to local news coverage through my internship at The Oglethorpe Echo, a weekly newspaper in Oglethorpe County, and coverage of city meetings in Oconee County. I currently intern with the Georgia First Amendment Foundation supporting the organization's work to increase education and advocacy surrounding government transparency, open records and open meetings laws, among other important issues.
I am also an experienced sports broadcaster, having worked with the UGA Athletic Association as an independent contractor since January 2022. In this position, I have primarily served as a control room technical director, but I also have directing experience.
My interests include international relations and sports, as well as investigative reporting and human interest stories. In my free time, I enjoy kayaking, reading new books, and exploring the beautiful, historic city I now call home - Athens, GA.
